Which Muppet are You?

By Baileybear

Miss Piggy

You are high-maintenance and attention-seeking. You are ruled by your emotions and are overly dramatic. You want to be seen as glamorous and need to be seen in the most showy and expensive clothes. Life is a shallow performance for you. You've been known to scheme for romantic love. You are obsessed with the superficial, like how you look and sometimes end up looking like bacon dressed as ham.

Kermit the Frog

You are grounded in reality and responsible.   You step up to positions of responsibility like leadership positions.  You are frustrated by madness and disorder and irritated by overt silliness and melodramatics.  You enjoy engaging in intelligent discussion.  You don't believe in fairy-tales, like kissed frogs turning into princes.  You are comfortable in your own skin - white, black, green or otherwise. You're practical and sensible, but a tad boring.

Fozzie Bear

You are cuddly and affectionate and have a child-like wide-eyed look.  You try to make people laugh, even if it's by telling lame jokes in a nasal voice.  What you lack in intelligence, you make up for in enthusiasm.   You are extroverted and want to be liked.  You like the sound of your own voice and don't know when to shut up.  Sometimes, people find you exhausting to bear.

Animal

You are energetic and competitive and prone to tantrums.  You unleash your crazy inner animal and your wild primal instincts.  You don't care for sophisticated speech or even to string words into sentences - guttural grunts are enough.  You are uninhibited about satisfying your basic appetites.  You need a physical way to let off steam, before you erupt in rage.

Rowlf the Dog

You're well-liked for your warm, friendly personality.  You're laid back and mellow and are always good-natured, calm and cheerful.  Your well-developed ears make for good listening. You know just the background music needed to listen to people's woes.  You tell witty stories at the appropriate times.  You have an artistic side, and sometimes surprise people when you can be light-hearted and silly (usually after a few beers).

Beaker

You lack social skills and prefer working with things and ideas rather than people.  You don't express yourself well verbally and come across as nervous or timid.  As a result, you are prone to being bullied.  You are a glutton for punishment, going back for more.  You are inquisitive and quirky.  You wonder why romantic chemistry and fireworks doesn't seem to happen for you.

Janice

You're cool and hip, even when you're old enough to need a hip replacement.  Being popular and in the 'in' crowd is important to you - which influences your hair, clothes and speech patterns.  Your lingo includes phrases like 'fur sure!' 'totally!' 'whatever!' which can make you come across as an air-head.  You are groovy and into the latest music.

Swedish Chef

You have a creative streak but are very messy.  You might cook up a storm, but leave others to do the dishes.  You babble on, mindlessly, often with incomprehensible nonsense and frequently invent words.  You are disorganised and easily distracted.  You are silly which can be funny, even though you are not trying to be.  You enjoy clowning around and lose track of time (which can result in a few pots boiled dry).

Gonzo

You are a misfit - misunderstood by others but then you don't exactly understand yourself.  You are a daredevil that engages in risky behaviour, trying to impress others.  Because you're gullible and such a try-hard, you fall prey to pranks.   You like dangerous stunts that involve height, fire and explosions.   Your looks don't draw positive attention, so you try to gain approval and acceptance by daring behaviour.

Statler or Waldorf

You're cynical and sarcastic with a mocking humour. You are a comic genius at someone else's expense. You're so focused on shredding others with lacerating wit, that you fail to see your short-comings - that you can be a grumpy old man (or woman). You complain a lot, but always go back for more.

diogenese - there were so many muppets to choose from, I ended up picking some I found most memorable & assigned personality profiles to them. I'm sure I missed some traits eg bossy; behind-the-scenes quiet type; adventurous...

optimus - animal has to be one of the most popular & most memorable muppets

I suppose I am most like Beaker but bully me and I become Animal. i think there's a little bit of Gonzo in all of us.

Rod - Beaker ended up being partly based on me. The other profiles generally fit people I know too. Apparently Gonzo is an Italian word for misfit or unknown origins.

Well at some time or other we are all Gonzos, Baileybear. Put Shane Warne in a computer nerd festival with no dame in sight and you have a Gonzo. You also have an Animal so I suppose you end up with a Gonzo Animal hybrid.

Baileybear Hub Author 14 months ago

Rod - at first I was going to paint Gonzo as someone misunderstood that did understand himself. But when I read more about him, it turns out he was really an attention-seeker ready to do any stunt to impress/get attention. Yep, Shane W would be Animal-Gonzo hybrid

Well I would definitely say I am Rowlf. I have always received comments on my patients. It doesn't matter if I am working with people or working on a project. Funny Hub.

BB, I don't think I fit comfortably into any one of those either, though I'd have to confess to shades of Miss Piggy, even Janice...and definitely the cynicism and grumpiness of Statler and Waldorf...;-)

Computer Guy - patients or patience? Rowlf did skits as a doctor.

Jane - I'd say that I'm LEAST like Miss P & Janice. At the moment I'm feeling like one of the grumpy old men after getting a crappy performance review. Have had 2 Australian supervisors criticise my 'communication skills' - what's with Aussie supervisors? Do they have it in for my accent or something?

Jane Bovary profile image

Jane Bovary Level 1 Commenter 14 months ago

Yes,it's bound to be the accent! What's going on with those those vowels..? Are you trying to kill them?

Lol. I'm just kidding BB..I actually think the NZ accent is very charming. Perhaps they're just being picky...because they can.

Baileybear profile image

Baileybear Hub Author 14 months ago

Jane - I think it's just that I seem to always end up with narcissist, micromanager supervisors - had those in NZ too. They've realised that I'm not as eloquent as some people and make a big deal out of it.

Pretty interesting hub. I wasn't sure which muppet to vote for myself. As I know in real life for sure, I'm definitely like Beaker, as I don't really know how to communicate well with others. That's why I voted that way. However, I know online in forums, I'm starting to think maybe online I have a personality along the lines of Ms. Piggy, as I do crave attention in forums, since in real life people tend to ignore me. lol Which might explain why one hubber criticized me recently about getting angry at other hubbers during debates with others on this site, when I never saw it that way. Sure, I lost my temper once during the controversial forum topic with the 14 yr old girl getting arrested, but I know I didn't lose my temper online during some of the other debates that i've had, as i'm usually pretty calm when talking online. However, i guess when you can't read someone's body language or facial expressions, then it's easy to misinterpret things.

Then again, now that I think about it. Maybe, I'm more like Gonzo online than I am like Ms. Piggy. After all, I do like opening up forum topics that can be perceived as risky to gain attention, so that might be a possibility. Damn, now you're going to make me think about this all day! lol. Just kidding. Anyways, sorry to trail off like that, as I have a tendency to get lost in my train of thought sometimes. Pretty good hub BaileyBear, as I had a lot of fun reading this. I'll definitely be sure to rate it up!

Stevennix - LOL. Sounds like a lot of Gonzo in there with all the confusion :) Yep, things get misunderstood all the time in forums & people feel bolder too. I'm actually more comfortable expressing myself in writing than in person though

I love this hub, which is a very amusing and clever change of pace. Who didn't like the Muppets growing up? And what child is not in love with them today? Personally, I would say that I am Kermit The Frog with a little Swedish Chef and Rowlf The Dog thrown in.

I voted this up for funny.

Take care.
